“It’s a true pleasure to announce the complete entry into this guide-book of Guido Rizzotto’s winery. It’s not easy in such a developped denomination to find some space and assert one’s wine. Certainly it’s essential that the product is good; but determination, passion and attachment for the territory are required. And Guido, though his character is very discrete, doesn’t lack all these qualities, as you can realize by visiting his winery. A dozen of hectares of vineyards wonderfully grown and a winery that matches perfectly the view and the architectonic history express his taste and love for land.
His two Soave wines are of great value: the Sengialta (2 glasses) is rich and pulpy, with an healthy rusticity that brings back to its Garganega’s soul. The Soave Classico 2005 (2 glasses) is even more convincing, intense and neat, expressing white flowers and fruit, with mineral hints that rise tasting after tasting.
The Lunalonga 2004 is well-made, rich and charming.
2 glasses also to Scaligio 2003.”
