HOW WE DO IT<\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”35px”][vc_column_text]We have said \u201cno\u201d to chemicals, so we cultivate our vineyards and olive groves according to the principles of organic farming; all of our agronomic practices aim to be an expression of a profound respect for nature and of harmony with the ecosystem. For this reason we have also enthusiastically taken up beekeeping, and our happy bees bear witness to the fact that protection of biodiversity is both right and possible.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”35px”][vc_column_text]We love our work, and we consider ourselves lucky to be surrounded by so much beauty: our gentle hills, the luxuriant woodland, the outline of the medieval castle on the horizon, and the colors of the countryside that change along with the seasons.
\nOurs are lands that have been devoted to the cultivation of vines for centuries. All of our vineyards lie on hillsides in the heart of the zone, where the terrain is rich and dark, and is of volcanic origin. Certainly, working them is more demanding, but here the climate is mild and generous and the southerly exposure allows for just the right amount of sugar accumulation thanks to the abundance of sunlight.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”35px”][vc_column_text]We have always believed strongly in our local grape varieties and we have devoted ourselves exclusively to them, focusing on low yields per hectare in order to obtain higher quality. Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave are the mainstays of our winery, where we vinify them with maximum respect for our terroir<\/em>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”50px”][vc_accordion active_tab=”false” collapsible=”yes” style=”boxed_accordion”][vc_accordion_tab title=”Woodland, bees and medlars: our recipe for biodiversity” title_color=”#ffffff” background_color=”#ff6c2c”][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text]Our production philosophy is focusing increasingly, day by day, on environmental sustainability and the safeguarding of biodiversity.
\nFrom an agronomic point of view we follow the precepts of organic farming and we have rendered the winery autonomous as regards electricity, thanks to clean energy provided by solar panels.
\nRespect for biodiversity is the cornerstone of all our efforts, and this concept is made concrete in all of our everyday choices.
\nIn the 1990s \u2013 decidedly bucking the trend of the time – Guido had already decided not to plant vines in all the area available, but to maintain intact several hectares of woodland. Here many wild species of fauna find shelter, and today our bees also take refuge here in order to stock up with propolis and honeydew.
\nLaura has also created an orchard with ancient types of fruit that are facing extinction, including medlars, jujubes, pomegranates and rare varieties of apples and pears from the foothills of the Veneto.
\nAnd then there are the bees, a real obsession for Laura and Federico.
\nThese marvelous and extremely delicate insects are fundamental for life on Earth, but they are in danger of disappearing because of pesticides, especially in zones with a high density of intensive monocultures.
\nWe have created a company apiary, which Laura and Federico look after with great passion. From time to time, we organize free events devoted to the bees and honey, so as to make people more aware about the subject and allow everyone to find out about the world of beekeeping. Our honey is always included in tastings of the company\u2019s wines, permitting us to explain to all our visitor how important it is to save the bees.
\nIn our latest project, which will become operative in 2019, we have sought to transfer into the field of hospitality our philosophy of environmental sustainability and love for nature.
